Marshalls Inner Harbor store gears up for Thursday opening

Giveaways and gift card prizes are on tap for the opening of discount retailer Marshalls' new store at Baltimore's Inner Harbor next Thursday (that'd be March 21), the Baltimore Sun reported.

The Massachusetts-based retailer, which sells brand-name apparel at a discount, is taking over the former location of Filene's Basement -- another Massachusetts institution, before its financial troubles began -- on the second floor of Lockwood Place on East Pratt Street.
