Long Branch plans still worry Silver Spring residents

A Montgomery County Planning Board public hearing elicited a fresh round of worries about the redevelopment plans for the Long Branch area of Silver Spring, The Gazette reported. Last month, residents expressed similar concerns.

Speakers raised issues including the displacement of businesses and those living in affordable housing, the potential historic designation and role of the Flower Theatre and Shopping Center and possible changes to the community’s density.
