November 30, 2012
The Lines Between Us is WYPR's year-long series about inequality in the Baltimore region. It airs every Friday at 9am on Maryland Morning.
The divide between the net worth of white and minority Americans grew rapidly during the recent housing boom and bust. Today at nine, Sheilah Kast will talk about the wealth gap with two researchers and Dominique Moore, a Baltimore resident whose great uncle is in danger of losing his home. You’ll also hear his story. Maryland Morning senior producer Lawrence Lanahan has this preview. You can hear the story again at 9am on Maryland Morning. Sheilah will also talk to Joseph Bacon’s niece and two researchers who study the wealth gap.
All previous episodes of "The Lines Between Us" are available here.
“The Lines Between Us” is made possible by grants from Associated Black Charities, Cohen Opportunity Fund, Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation, Baltimore Community Foundation, and Open Society Institute-Baltimore, as well as support from members of the WYPR Board of Directors.
