Legg Mason 'moving as fast as it can' to find next CEO

Legg Mason Inc.’s directors are not talking about where they stand in finding a permanent replacement for former CEO and chairman Mark R. Fetting.

“The search committee is moving as fast as it can,” said Harold Adams, a Legg Mason director and a member of the board committee asked to find Fetting’s successor. “That’s all I can say.”
