Lawmaker looks to take VCs out of InvestMaryland equation

A state delegate from Calvert County wants to cut venture capital firms and the Maryland Venture Fund Authority out of the 2-year-old InvestMaryland program.

Del. Mark Fisher, R-Calvert County, introduced a bill in the House of Delegates on Feb. 1 that would revamp the program that invests in startup businesses around the state.
