Laura Neuman chosen Anne Arundel County executive

Laura Neuman, a former CEO of the Howard County Economic Development Authority, was chosen Thursday to succeed John Leopold as Anne Arundel County executive, the Associated Press reported.

Neuman was one of 16 candidates who applied for the job, including acting county executive John Hammond and former Maryland first lady Kendel Ehrlich.
