Johns Hopkins University to invest $10M in nearby communities
Johns Hopkins University will spend $10 million over the next five years on projects to improve the neighborhoods surrounding its campus in northern Baltimore.
The new funding is part of the university’s Homewood Community Partners Initiative, which launched in 2011 as an effort to improve the neighborhoods near Hopkins and to strengthen the relationship between the university and its neighbors. Neighborhood representatives will also be part of choosing the projects.
