InvestMaryland Challenge: 71 startups advance in VC competition
The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development said 71 startups that entered its InvestMaryland Challenge have been selected from more than 250 applications to advance to the next round of the competition.
The prize for three companies that eventually win is $100,000 and a chance to pitch their business to potential investors.
Of the 71 companies that advance, 62 are located in Maryland. Other startups, from Virginia, California, New York, Delaware and New Jersey, would be required…
