Improved economy leads to hotel openings, renovations

Economic conditions are improving for Maryland hotels, resulting in new hotels and renovations to existing ones, Gazette.net reported.

The latest hotel to enter the market is a 171-room DoubleTree that reopened in Pikesville following about $1 million in upgrades.
