Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake awarded $1M from Weinberg Foundation
Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake has been awarded a $1 million grant from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to support affordable housing efforts in three Baltimore neighborhoods.
The grant will go toward Habitat’s construction and rehabilitation of 56 vacant properties in Woodbourne-McCabe, Mount Winans and Washington Village/Pigtown.
The nonprofit plans to transform the properties into 53 homes and three recreational parks.
