Ground broken in Montgomery's Crown Farm

Developers have started construction of a 320,000-square-foot mixed use development in Crown Farm, the last large undeveloped parcel in central Montgomery County, the Washington Post reports.

Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney Katz donned a ceremonial hard hat and wielded a ceremonial shovelbfor the groundbreaking, which comes, as the Post noted, after efforts by local preservation groups fought to save a historic farmhouse on the site.
