Golden Ring Travel to be acquired by Academy Bus

Golden Ring Travel, a provider of regional bus trips and charters for more than 25 years, plans to be acquired by Academy Bus.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hoboken, N.J-based Academy said the deal to buy Baltimore County-based Golden Ring Travel is the company’s latest step to expand charter and tour offerings in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Academy runs routes from 10 locations between Boston and D.C. Golden Ring is known for day trips to New York and Atlantic City.
