Frederick Memorial eliminates jobs

Frederick Memorial Hospital will lay off "a group of employees" in order to deal with shrinking revenues caused in part by a reduction in the admission of new patients, the Frederick News-Post reported.

The hospital said affected employees would be given the opportunity to move into other jobs within the health system, but declined to say how many workers will be affected or how many jobs will be lost.
