Fluxome Inc. shuttering University of Maryland BioPark operations
Fluxome Inc. will be shutting down its offices at the University of Maryland BioPark after its parent company was sold Thursday.
Swiss biotech firm Evolva closed a cash and stock deal to purchase Fluxome A/S, the Danish nutrition company that owns Fluxome Inc. in Baltimore. Evolva said it will not be acquiring Fluxome’s U.S. operations, which opened at 801 W. Baltimore St. in August. Instead Evolva will focus operations in Denmark and partner with U.S. distributors to sell its products.
