Federal Housing agency could run out of reserves

If rising mortgage delinquencies cause the Federal Housing Administration to exhaust its reserves, the agency could be forced to draw on taxpayer funding for the first time in its 78-year history, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

According to people familiar with the agency's finances, the FHA is expected to make such a report this week, the Journal reported.
