Fannie Mae CFO Susan McFarland to retire

Fannie Mae Chief Financial Officer Susan McFarland will retire by the end of June.

McFarland notified the company she will step down after a transition period that starts upon the appointment of her replacement, Fannie Mae disclosed in a regulatory filing.

McFarland joined Fannie Mae as executive vice president and CFO in July 2011, replacing David Johnson, who left at the end of 2010. She had been Capital One Financial Corp.'s executive vice president of finance and principal accounting officer.
