Congress takes default off table: House suspends debt ceiling, Senate to follow suit

The U.S. government will not default on its debts, thanks to a 285-144 vote in the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday to suspend the government's debt ceiling until March 19, the Business Journals reported.

The Senate will pass the bill as soon as possible, said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. "We don't want another crisis," Reid said.
