Closing arguments set for today in Leopold misconduct trial
Circuit Judge Dennis M. Sweeney denied a request for acquittal on all charges against Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold Monday, clearing the way for closing arguments Tuesday, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Among other charges, Leopold is accused of using his taxpayer-funded police detail to run personal and political errands, and for requiring aides to perform procedures such as emptying his urinary catheter bag following surgery.
