Voters in Baltimore went to the polls Tuesday in this year’s all-important Democratic primary. In City Hall, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake sought an electoral mandate to the post she inherited 18 months ago, facing a host of challengers. The City Council was also up for grabs. Fraser Smith, WYPR’s Senior News Analyst, hosted “City Primary 2011,” an hour-long discussion of this year’s primary election. Three guests – Julie Sharper and Jean Marbella of The Sun and Charles Robinson of Maryland Public TV – joined Fraser to discuss the campaigns, issues, ideas and tactics.
