BWI plans $500 charge for ambulance service in 2013
Anyone who gets sick or injured at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and requires an ambulance to the hospital will have to pay approximately $500 for the service in 2013, the Baltimore Sun reported Tuesday.
The charge, to be based on a fee structure similar to that used by Anne Arundel County, was dictated by the Maryland General Assembly last year and follows a statewide trend to attempt to recover emergency medical costs from insurance companies.
