Bowie residents balk at new housing at business park proposed by St. John
A plan by developer St. John Properties Inc. to add housing at the Melford business park in Bowie is seeing criticism by nearby residents who say there hasn’t been enough public input or study of the plan’s impact on Bowie infrastructure, The Gazette reported.
Currently, only commercial development is allowed at the site, located near U.S. routes 50 and 301. St. John Properties wants to add housing due to lagging business interest.
