Bethesda neighborhood riled by guest house plan
Bethesda's upscale Battery Park neighborhood is up in arms over the approval by the Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services for Rina Levy to build a two-level guest house with a garage in the backyard of her house, BethesdaNow.com reports.
Levy, who rents the home out, wants to be able to stay in the guest house when she visits from Israel. Neighbors worry that the approval will set a bad precedent and have broader ramifications for the way residential land is zoned in the county.
