Berger Cookies maker facing IRS tax lien
The maker of Baltimore’s iconic Berger Cookies is facing a $108,591 tax lien.
The Internal Revenue Service filed the notice of federal tax lien with the Clerk of Circuit Court on Feb. 22. In it, the IRS alleges that DeBaufre Bakeries Inc. and Bergers Cakes and Cookies of 2900 Waterview Ave. in Baltimore owe the money for unpaid federal taxes, some of which date back to 2009.
