Bank of America to sell an additional $100B in mortgage-servicing rights
Two days after Bank of America Corp. said it will sell $300 billion in mortgage-servicing rights, the Charlotte-based financial giant is preparing to unload at least $100 billion more, according to an exclusive report from Reuters.
The sales represent the latest example of a big bank deciding that the price of collecting payments on some mortgage loans is too high, given new capital rules, the report says.
