Baltimore studying affordability of four-lane bridge for Harbor Point
City officials want to build a four-lane bridge to extend Central Avenue to Harbor Point, but they’re not yet sure such a project is affordable.
The city’s Department of Transportation had planned by now to issue a request for qualifications for the bridge project, along with the second phase of streetscaping of the second phase of Central Avenue. But the DOT is still determining the scope of the project and hopes to issue the RFQ by March, said engineering supervisor Jamie McDonald.
