Baltimore school system wins $100K to improve personal finance education

Baltimore City Public Schools plans to ramp up personal financial education for high schoolers with help from a $100,000 grant from Discover Financial Services.

The state mandates that public schools teach personal finance to students elementary through high school, but many teachers lack any formal finance training to pass on to their students.
