Baltimore economist calls for lower corporate income tax
Maryland should lower corporate income tax rates to attract capital investment and offset decreased federal spending, the state's Chamber of Commerce was told Tuesday by economist Anirban Basu, the Annapolis Capital reported.
The chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group, Inc., an economic and policy consulting firm in Baltimore, said Maryland is three times more vulnerable to the impact of federal reductions than any other state.
