Baltimore-area unemployment rate drops to 6.8% in October
The Baltimore-area unemployment rate continued to improve in October, mirroring a national trend among metropolitan regions.
Baltimore’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.8 percent, down from 7 percent in September, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.
During October, the number of people unemployed in the region declined from 101,500 in September to 99,400 in October.
