Baltimore-area stocks off to bullish start in 2013
With the first quarter of 2013 almost complete, the first three months of the year have turned out to be good for the stocks of companies based in Greater Baltimore.
Through March 15, the Baltimore area’s 10 largest-publicly traded companies are up from 1.1 percent (Jos. A. Bank Clothiers Inc.) to a blistering 41 percent (Sinclair Broadcast Group). Half topped the 9.4 percent increase of the Standard & Poor’s 500 over the same period.
