Anne Arundel exec Leopold to stand trial this week

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Wednesday as Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold goes on trial on charges of misconduct in office and fraud, the Baltimore Sun reported.

Among other things, Leopold is charged with using his taxpayer-funded police detail to arrange sexual liaisons and defeat his political adversaries. He is also charged with sexual harassment in a separate case.
