ACC sues University of Maryland, seeking $52M exit fee

The Atlantic Coast Conference is suing the University of Maryland to ensure the university pays a $52 million withdrawal penalty once it leaves the athletic conference in 2014.

The lawsuit follows the announcement by the University of Maryland and its president, Wallace Loh, earlier this month that it would be leaving ACC to join the Big Ten Conference.
