Former Baltimore City Commissioner Frederick Bealefeld spent 31 years policing Baltimore City's streets, 24 days hiking the Appalachian Trail, and on Tuesday he begins the next leg of his journey as Distinguished Professional in Criminal Justice at Stevenson University.

Lisa Ling, who's coming to town tomorrow for Stevenson University's Baltimore Speakers Series, had already been an international reporter for nine years when, at age 25, she was picked as one of the cohosts of The View on ABC.  After a few years of that, she returned to reporting, hosted National Geographic Explorer, reported as special correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show--and now has her own show, Our America, on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
