Many of Baltimore's neighborhoods draw visitors from outside the city, even outside the state to view rowhomes, historic churches, monuments, and other architecturally significant sites. 

But in northeast Baltimore, just outside of the boundaries of Morgan State University, sit two early African-American neighborhoods not nearly so well-known.

The Maryland GOP elected a new chair last weekend. We ask Diana Waterman of the Eastern Shore about her plans for the party after a General Assembly session that was tough for Republicans.

The Maryland Republican Party elected a new chair over the weekend. Diana Waterman, a bookkeeper from Queen Anne’s County, will lead the party through the gubernatorial election in 2014.

Author Stephen Crane died at age 28, but was incredibly prolific during his lifetime. He's best known for The Red Badge of Courage, but was also a poet and a newspaper reporter during the Spanish American War. He had trouble making a living, and eventually died of tuberculosis.
