To celebrate Center Stage's 50th anniversary, artistic director Kwame Kwei-Armah undertook an ambitious project to open a dialogue about the theater and how it fits into our local and national culture.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has proposed her own plan to deal with the vacants in Baltimore.  It’s called Vacants to Value, and she launched it in November 2010.  The program focuses on selling the vacants in specific transitioning neighborhoods. 

The community surrounding Patterson Park is rallying against a plan that would add parking and an access road to the park. Acting director of the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks Bill Vondrasek joins us to talk about the controversial plans.
