This is a week where food is in the spotlight.  But getting fed isn’t always easy—approximately 720,000 Marylanders don’t know where their next meal will come from. That’s called being “food insecure.”

David Pittenger has been working at the National Aquarium in some capacity since its inception 30 years ago. He’s preparing to hand over the reigns to John Racanelli, a veteran of the California aquarium industry, who starts later this month. Before leaving, he takes Sheilah on a tour of the aquarium — and talks about the role aquariums play in terms of conservation.
