The profit picture is getting brighter for banks in the Baltimore area, and a rebounding real estate market is the main reason, the Baltimore Business Journal reports in its current issue. Of the 47 banks headquartered here, 39 turned a profit in 2012, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. That was a huge swing from 2009.
