Winter Weather School Delays for January 28 2013
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon today, with a mix of snow, sleet, rain, and freezing rain forecast.
Baltimore City schools are on a 2-hour delay, with half-day pre-kindergarten programs cancelled.
Baltimore County schools' non public bus routes are on a 2-hour delay. All offices are opening 2 hours late, and staff should report 2 hours late.
2-hour delays are also in effect for schools in Carroll County, Cecil County now CLOSED, Frederick County*, Harford County now CLOSED, Howard County, Kent County now CLOSED, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, and Washington County*. (*Frederick County's Urbana Elementary is closed, Washington County's Hancock schools are closed)
Cecil County schools and Harford County schools and Kent County schools and Queen Anne's County schools are CLOSED.
Anne Arundel County schools were already closed to students today; offices are now opening 2 hours late.
Many colleges, universities, and private educational institutions are also opening late -- be sure to call ahead before you hit the roads.
