Volunteer for WYPR
Hello, I am Gary Levine president of the Friends of WYPR.  The group was established in February 2002 when WYPR became a community owned and operated station.  Our mission is to assist the station in a variety of ways-from answering phones during our on-air pledge drives, to staffing booths at fairs and festivals, assisting with the many details required to put on a major event at a variety of venues in Baltimore , and sometimes simple data entry or other administrative work.  Whatever the task, our help makes a huge difference and is an integral part of the WYPR community. As with most non-profits, WYPR maintains a small staff and counts on help from their volunteer group.

In the 14 years I have been active in public radio I have made many new friends and have enjoyed getting an inside glimpse of my favorite station.  That, in addition to the knowledge my volunteer hours support the diverse programming and services I enjoy on WYPR, is why I became involved with the Friends of WYPR.

We invite you to join our group and become a part of this great process.  Take a moment to complete the form below  and we look forward to welcoming you to the WYPR family.

Sincerely,

Gary Levine
President
