| About WYPR |
WYPR is committed to providing the highest quality content both on air and online.
As costs increase and funding remains stagnant, we rely on the support and loyalty of our members and underwriters. It is their generosity that allows us to bring you commercial free- news and entertainment every day.
WYPR.org is emerging as a significant source of community news and information in its own right, aside from our on air broadcasts. With more than 10,000 visitors each monthly, it is incumbent upon us to keep the content on the site fresh and relevant.
In order to support these efforts, we have decided to make underwriting opportunities available on our web site, in addition to broadcast underwriting.
One of the most important aspects of our charter is that we operate under sound principles of fiscal planning, management and governance. It is in this spirit that we are making online sponsorships available.
Web site sponsorships are not prohibited by the FCC or federal funding guidelines for public radio. In fact, many public radio stations are turning to the web as an additional revenue stream.
That said, you can rely on WYPR to maintain the same standards and integrity on the web as we do on air: Ads will be tasteful and unobtrusive. WYPR will enforce limits for the number of underwriting positions allowed per page.
